Shannon Airport has hosted Cleviston Haynes, Barbados Ambassador to Ireland, for a strategic visit focused on economic development and connectivity opportunities. Ambassador Haynes accompanied Ms Kendra Holdip, Minister Counsellor and Deputy Head of Mission at the Embassy of Barbados to Ireland, together with Shane Thomas and Julia Hope of Invest Barbados. Director of Public Affairs Caroline Kelleher provided the delegation with an overview of recent progress and investment across the Group’s diverse portfolio.

The meeting showcased the scale of activity across both Shannon Airport and the Shannon Airport Business Park, highlighting the Group’s ongoing contribution to regional economic growth and connectivity. Representatives from BBnet, including Gurmukh Neote, Carol Mahony and Gian Kaur, joined the discussions, with Helen Downes and Dympna O’Callaghan representing Shannon Chamber of Commerce. The delegation examined potential areas for bilateral cooperation and investment opportunities linking the West of Ireland with Caribbean markets.
