TAP Air Portugal has revealed further details of its new long-haul cabin product Economy Prime which the airline says offers more space and privacy without changing the seat itself. The airline positions the product as a step between Economy and Business Class. Flights with the new cabin begin on 01 June 2026 and the product is already on sale.

Economy Prime will be located in the first few rows of the Economy section right behind Business Class with just 12 seats on each plane. The setup applies across TAP’s Airbus A330 and A321LR fleets where four seats per row include one seat always blocked off next to the passenger. Passengers receive priority check-in fast-track security priority boarding and quicker baggage handling.

The product includes a fancier meal with two hot choices the option to pre-select meals an amenity kit better pillows and upgraded headphones. Higher mileage accruals and flexible ticket conditions apply especially in the Top Prime fare tier. Initial pricing positions Economy Prime cheaper than traditional Premium Economy fares from other airlines.
