Travel South USA strengthens global position

Travel South USA has expanded its network of partners this year as it welcomes a record 30 Champion Cities to its Partnership. The organisation has coordinated campaigns across multiple international markets. State tourism leaders collaborated on initiatives to increase visitation to the American South.

The board has achieved growth in industry training, trade engagement and media coverage. Partners from the United Kingdom, Australia, New Zealand, German-speaking Europe, France, Benelux, Italy, India, Brazil, the Nordic Region and Canada took part in programmes.

A new culinary campaign titled “One Region. Infinite Flavors” launched, and the MICHELIN Guide to the American South entered its second year with a ceremony on 21 October in Nashville.

Mark Ezell shared “I am proud and grateful as I reflect on the past year serving as Chairman of the Travel South USA Board of Directors. Twelve states come together with one shared purpose to help the world discover the American South.”
