United Airlines ar etc introduce extra elbow room seats in Economy Plus on its new Airbus A321XLR aircraft. The airline repurposes the middle seat as shared space with large custom tables. This configuration provides additional space on international flights.

One row on each aircraft features permanently fixed tables with soft leather-like covering and cup indentations. Passengers in window and aisle seats gain extra room beyond the three inches of additional legroom in Economy Plus. United plans to offer this option on all 50 A321XLR aircraft and may extend it to other types.
