US fast food chain Wendy’s has reached an agreement with service station and energy company Corrib Oil to become its franchise partner in Ireland.
Corrib plans to open ten Wendy’s restaurants across the country between 2025 and 2027.
Wendy’s will announce its initial restaurant locations in the New Year, including standalone restaurants and offerings at existing Corrib service stations.
A recruitment campaign will launch in early 2025 to fill 300 new roles for the Wendy’s expansion.
Wendy’s will feature 100pc Irish sourced beef in its restaurants and aims to source ingredients locally whenever possible.
Corrib Oil currently operates 38 convenience stores and will increase its workforce from 1,150 to 1,450 as part of the partnership with Wendy’s.
EJ Wunsch, President, International, of The Wendy’s Company, shared: “Ireland is a great market for long-term growth for Wendy’s. With a proven track record of outstanding operations and a significant growth history, we are confident that Corrib Oil is the right partner to drive Wendy’s expansion in Ireland.
