Virgin Voyages has hosted its largest-ever Irish travel trade showcase on board the newly refurbished Valiant Lady during her first-ever docking in Dún Laoghaire Harbour, Dublin. The adults-only cruise line hosted 1,200 travel agents during the course of the voyage, terming them “First Mates,” for ship tours, product demonstrations and exclusive dining previews as part of the Summer Tour 2026.

The trade partners experienced the ship’s post-dry-dock upgrades, including Ariya by Razzle Dazzle, a new modern Indian restaurant concept developed with chef Maneet Chauhan, a completely expanded dance floor in The Manor, and over 20 newly introduced onboard entertainment events. The Dublin stop formed part of a 15-night Northern Europe itinerary departing from Portsmouth, with the ship continuing to Glasgow, Liverpool and Belfast.

The event showcased Virgin Voyages’ signature adults-only cruising style, which departs heavily from traditional cruise norms. The brand has replaced standard buffets with 20 boutique eateries, bundled essential Wi-Fi, tips and fitness classes into the base fare, and featured contemporary cabin layouts with red terrace hammocks and upgraded ocean-facing daybeds. The visit highlights the company’s growing European programme and increasing interest in alternative cruise experiences among Irish travellers and agents.
