Wizz Air has officially launched its new operational base at Turin Airport expanding its network to a total of 23 routes across 10 countries. This milestone marks the airline’s seventh operational base in Italy and its 40th global hub. The expansion is anchored by the stationing of two Airbus A321neo aircraft at Turin Airport with the first aircraft entering service on 14 September 2026 and the second arriving on 25 October 2026.
The full winter schedule splits the 23 routes into five domestic Italian destinations and 18 international locations. Domestic routes include Rome Fiumicino, Naples, Palermo, Catania and Lamezia Terme. International routes include Barcelona, Madrid, Valencia, Málaga, Bilbao, London Luton, Prague, Sharm el-Sheikh, Bucharest, Iași, Suceava, Budapest, Chișinău, Tirana, Warsaw, Wrocław, Gdańsk and Katowice.
This deployment is projected to provide approximately 1.3m seats annually from Turin effectively doubling Wizz Air’s year over year capacity in the Piedmont region. The development is expected to generate roughly 80 direct jobs for flight crews and support staff alongside 700 indirect jobs in the regional tourism and aviation sectors.
