The Commission for Aviation Regulation issued three new licences to Bravonext SA registered in Chiasso, Switzerland, trading as Lastminute.ie, Great Rail Journeys registered in York, England, trading as Rail DiscoveriesGreat Rail Journeys and GRJ (Independent), Premier Irish Golf Tours based in Tralee, and two new trading names, Sunrise Travel added to Prime Marketing and Gohop Group to Travel Management Solutions. A new tour operator licence was issued to Map Travel.

Mukesh Sharma, an industry leader in the travel trade in Belfast, will be stepping down as managing director of World Travel Centre in Belfast to launch an independent consultancy. Mukesh was MD for seven years, originally of Thriftaway Travel, which was purchased by WTC.

The Travel Industry Golf Society Captain’s Prize, hosted by captain Tanya Airey, will be sponsored by Travelport.
