Embraer has unveiled Praetor 500E and Praetor 600E as upgraded variants.

Deliveries for new orders began in the first quarter of 2029. Upgrades will focus on cabin and systems without airframe changes. No retrofit plans existed for existing Praetor 500 and 600 models.

These upgraded variants, representing what the company calls a significant “E-volution” of its best-selling midsize and super-midsize business jets, prioritise a next-generation cabin experience and advanced passenger technology over changes to the existing airframe or performance.

The “E” series focuses on three main pillars: comfort, connectivity, and intuitive control:

  • An industry-first feature introduced on the Praetor 600E that offers digital capabilities integrated directly into the window.
  • All-new seats designed for longer missions, featuring dual lumbar support, cushion firmness configuration, and electric-assist release for smoother movement.
  • A completely reimagined system that includes Bluetooth audio, wireless charging, and Smart Switch panels for individual seat control.
  • Redesigned galleys and refreshment centres to allow for more efficient meal service during extended international flights.
  • Both jets retain Embraer’s signature full fly-by-wire with active turbulence reduction and the Enhanced Vision System (E2VS).

While the performance remains class-leading—with the Praetor 600E holding the longest range in the super-midsize category at 4,018 nm—the new features come with a baseline price increase, Praetor 500E will cost $21,645,000 while Praetor 600E will cost $25,795,000.

The series originated from Legacy 450 and Legacy 500 platforms in 2018.
