Newbridge Silverware is hosting the only European exhibition of Michael Jackson memorabilia at the Museum of Style Icons from 30 October to 8 November 2026. The exhibition presented in association with Julien’s Auctions brings together an illuminated Thriller jacket worn during the 1987 to 1989 Bad World Tour the white rhinestone glove worn at the 1983 Motown 25 performance and the black leather Florsheim loafers worn during rehearsals for that performance. Admission is free.

The glove carries a pre-auction estimate of $600,000 to $800,000 (€512,000 to €683,000) and last sold at Julien’s Auctions in 2009 for $430,000 (€367,000). The loafers are expected to fetch between $60,000 and $80,000 (€51,200 to €68,300). The exhibition also features costumes from the Bad Dangerous and HIStory world tours and outfits associated with music videos.

Costume designer Michael Bush will attend to meet fans and sign copies of his book The King of Style Dressing Michael Jackson. The pieces will travel to Bahrain for a preview before the Michael Jackson The Fashion Legacy auction at Rosewood Abu Dhabi on 7 December 2026. Julien’s Auctions previously sold an original Thriller music video jacket for $1.8m (€1.54m) in 2011.

William Doyle shared “Michael Jackson was one of the most iconic entertainers the world has ever seen. He didn’t just change music; he changed fashion, dance and popular culture forever. There are very few people in entertainment history whose costumes are as instantly recognisable as their music.”
