Ireland inbound visitor numbers from USA were 155,200 in June, down 6.7pc on June 2025 and down 39.1pc on pre-pandemic. Rolling annual was 1,374,300, up 13.8pc on the twelve months to June 2025. The total for the first six months of 2026 was 600,400, up 8pc on the first six months of 2025 and down 37.6pc on pre-pandemic.
This follows growth of 1.5pc in May, 11.9pc in April, 22.6pc in March, 42.3pc in February and 24.9pc in January.
The decline was matched almost exactly in the inbound tourist figures from all of North America were 183,300 in June, down 6.8pc on June 2025 and down 39.1pc on pre-pandemic. Rolling annual was 1,559,800, up 12.6pc on the twelve months to June 2025. The total for the first six months of 2026 was 695,200, up 5.9pc on the six months to June 2025 and down 37.6pc on pre-pandemic.
This follows increase of 4.7pc in May, 13.8pc in April, 16.7pc in March, 20.3pc in February and 10.1pc in January.
