Ireland inbound visitor numbers from Australia and New Zealand were 10,200 in May, up 3pc on May 2025 and down 46pc on pre-pandemic. Rolling annual was 125,300 down 4.9pc on the twelve months to May 2025.
This follows a decrease of 7.4pc in April, and increases of 7.1pc in March 2025, 7.1pc in February and 3.9pc on January. The decrease in April is partly attributable to the earlier Easter and partly to the loss of the loss of the three hubs of preference in the Middle East, Abu Dhabi (Etihad), Doha (Qatar Airways) and Dubai (Emirates).
