AUSTRALIA visitor numbers to Ireland up by 7.1pc in March despite loss of Gulf hubs

Ireland inbound visitor numbers from Australia and New Zealand were 4,700 in March, up 7.1pc on March 2025 despite the loss of the loss of the three hubs of preference in the Middle East, Abu Dhabi (Etihad), Doha (Qatar Airways) and Dubai (Emirates). Numbers were down 63.9pc on pre-pandemic. Rolling annual was 125,500 down 2.6pc on the twelve months to March 2025.

Ireland inbound visitor numbers from Australia and New Zealand were 3,000 in February, up 7.1pc on February 2025 and down 63.9pc on pre-pandemic. Rolling annual was 125,500 down 3.3pc on the twelve months to February 2025.

Visitor numbers to Ireland from Australia and New Zealand in January were up 3.9pc on January 2025 and down -38,5pc on pre-pandemic
