Winner of 12 Oscars in the 2026 awards ceremony, One Battle After Another (2025) was filmed across California and Texas between January and June 2024, utilising locations in El Paso, Eureka, Sacramento, and Borrego Springs. Key scenes were shot near the U.S.–Mexico border in Otay Mesa, downtown El Paso, the Sunset Heights neighborhood, and in Humboldt County:
- El Paso, Texas: Downtown streets, historic neighborhoods, and the El Paso Streetcar. Genesis Perfumeria on El Paso Street was used for Sensei’s apartment.
- Borrego Springs: Served as “Baktan Cross,” including the “Texas Dip” for car chase scenes.
- Sacramento: Reagan Mansion was used for the Adventurers Club, plus filming at Folsom Ranch.
- Eureka: Murphy’s Market and Eureka High School.
- San Diego County: The opening sequence was shot at the Otay Mesa Immigration Detention Center near the border.
- Other Sites: La Purisima Mission in Lompoc (nunnery), a cabin in the redwoods, and various locations near the Salton Sea.
The movie was also filmed on stage at LA North.
