Five cruise brands have withdrawn from the 2026-27 season in the Arabian Gulf. TUI, MSC, Explora, Costa, and AIDA cancelled planned itineraries in the region. The decisions followed regional uncertainty.
TUI repositioned Mein Schiff Flow to Northern Europe from German homeports. MSC moved MSC World Europa to the Southern Caribbean and MSC Seaview to South America. Explora shifted Explora II to Europe. Costa sent Costa Smeralda to the Canary Islands while Costa Pacifica took Mediterranean routes. AIDA redeployed AIDAprima to the Canary Islands and Northern Europe.
Celestyal maintained operations with Celestyal Discovery and Celestyal Journey from late November to mid-March. Aroya planned seven-night cruises from January to March 2027. The cancellations affected winter programmes to ports in the UAE, Bahrain, Qatar, Oman, and Saudi Arabia.
