Seabourn has officially launched “The Ruby Collection,” a specially curated programme of 54 ultra-luxury voyages sailing in 2028 to commemorate the cruise line’s 40th anniversary, or “Ruby Jubilee”. Spanning its five-ship ocean and expedition fleet, the collection introduces landmark global itineraries, brand-new ports of call, and heritage-inspired sailing styles. Bookings are officially open directly through Seabourn or authorized travel advisors.
- Cape to Cape World Cruise: A 120-day hallmark voyage sailing on Seabourn Quest departing January 7, 2028. It covers 26,000 nautical miles, 58 destinations, and 23 countries across five continents. The itinerary honors Seabourn’s 1988 roots with a Panama Canal transit and features complimentary expedition outings in Antarctica. A shorter 112-day Miami-to-Lisbon configuration is also available.
- Grand Expedition (Pole to Pole): A massive 96-day journey aboard the purpose-built expedition ship Seabourn Venture, departing August 16, 2028. Traveling from the High Arctic (Ellesmere Island) down to Antarctica, it charts 14 countries and 147 degrees of latitude. An abbreviated 82-day version option is available.
- The Yachtsman Collection: Revives the company’s foundational 1988 philosophy of deployment into intimate, secluded harbors where massive cruise vessels cannot dock. These 7-to-14-day Mediterranean and Caribbean regional routes stress extended evening overnights and unhurried schedules.
The collection serves as the maiden arrival for Seabourn into several destinations, including Taichung and Tainan in Taiwan; Petersburg, Valdez, and the Chiswell Islands in Alaska; Tvøroyri in the Faroe Islands; and Cape Clear Island in Ireland.
Custom-tailored seasonal land connections are integrated into itineraries, featuring events such as Taiwan’s Pingxi Sky Lantern Festival, a return to the historic whaling settlement of Red Bay in Canada, and an 8-day pre-cruise Denali overland program.
Every single booking across the entire fleet throughout 2028 will feature celebratory milestone touches, vintage-era throwback entertainment, and exclusive enrichment programming. This includes a special October partnership with The Atlantic magazine providing intellectual festival content at sea.
The itineraries retain traditional crowd-favourites like “Caviar in the Surf” beach parties, “Shopping with the Chef” local market excursions, and active Marina Days with retractable water sports docks.
