Sally Mac’s Irish Pub and Kitchen has opened its doors on 1 September 2026 at 43 Lower Baggot Street in Dublin 2, adding a traditional Irish pub atmosphere combined with kitchen dining to the city’s hospitality offering.

The venue officially launched its full experience at 43-44 Baggot Street Lower, celebrating the grand opening of its kitchen on Tuesday, 1 September 2026. The venue initially opened for drinks on 20 August 2026, taking over the landmark 1820s Georgian building previously known as Larry Murphy’s pub.

The venue has been refurbished extensively by owner Padraic O’Kane, who also runs FIRE Steakhouse and Bar and SOLE Seafood and Grill. The layout features period Georgian details, a traditional snug and a private event area called The Writer’s Room. The menu, directed by renowned chef Richie Wilson, serves comfort food featuring an all-day menu highlighting a signature Sally’s Spuds baked potato selection, fish and chips and burgers, with food served daily until 21:00.

The bar features traditional pints, Irish whiskeys, cocktails and its own proprietary Sally Mac’s Lager. The venue operates 7 days a week from 12:00 until late. The opening adds to the cluster of hospitality venues in Dublin’s Baggot Street area, which has seen significant investment in recent years.
