Saudi Arabia shuts Najran and Jazan airports after attacks

Saudi authorities have closed Najran and Jazan airports until 15 October 2026 and limited Abha to daytime operations following Houthi missile and drone attacks on the three airports on 5 and 6 October. Najran and Jazan are closed around the clock from 7 October until 18:00 local time on 15 October. Abha is closed nightly between 18:00 and 06:00 until 15 October.

According to aviation data, Saudia, flynas, flyadeal, Air Arabia, Air Arabia Egypt, Air Cairo, Ethiopian Airlines, flydubai, Jazeera Airways, Nile Air, Qatar Airways, SalamAir and Tarco Aviation have scheduled flights to the affected airports. The closures affect connectivity across the southern region of Saudi Arabia.

The airports are closed until 15 October.
