Yorkshire Wildlife Park in Doncaster has remained closed following a fatal incident on 10 October 2026. A man entered a tiger enclosure and was mauled to death. Emergency medical teams and South Yorkshire Police responded at approximately 1.35pm.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene. The incident occurred within the Land of the Tigers attraction, a purpose-built two-acre habitat for endangered Amur tigers. Witnesses reported that the man purposefully entered the restricted enclosure. Zookeepers attempted to intervene by discharging blank shots into the air, forcing the tiger to retreat to a shelter.
