TourismNI has hosted leading food and travel media from Ireland, Europe and the US for a visit showcasing the region’s food and drink tourism offering. The group included food writers, broadcasters and journalists representing Delish, Helsingin Sanomat, La Cucina Italiana, RTÉ Radio, Irish Farmers Journal, and the Irish Food Writers’ Guild.
The itinerary included a visit to Killeavy Castle Estate near Newry where the group met the estate’s chef and butcher. The group attended a curated dining event at Regency House in Belfast hosted by Chef Christopher McClurg and Alice Stewart. The group also attended the BBC Food and Farming Awards in Belfast.
The group continued to explore the culinary offering across Belfast, Down, Armagh and Fermanagh. TourismNI congratulated DAERA and Food NI on the awards evening.
