The time allowance for vehicles to set down at Cork Airport for free has been reduced from 15 minutes to 10 minutes, with a new charging system in place for extended stays in the set down lane.

Since 2019, Cork Airport has implemented a barrier system with automatic number plate recognition for drivers dropping off or collecting passengers, aiming to manage traffic flow effectively.

The new charging structure imposes fees for drivers who stay beyond the designated time limits in the set down lane, with charges ranging from €3 for 11 to 20 minutes, €5 for 21 to 30 minutes, and €10 for 31 minutes to an hour, escalating to €20 for stays between 61 and 121 minutes.
