Manhattan to get new cruise terminal after 90 years

New York City Economic Development Corporation has published plans to replace 90-year-old piers at Manhattan Cruise Terminal. 

The plan is for a new terminal to accommodate two 8,000-passenger ships simultaneously. The terminal introduces fully electrified shore power infrastructure. An iInitial commitment provides €18m for shore power. 

The master plan supports sustainable marine freight distribution.
