Fish City Belfast wins big at Good Food Ireland awards after healthy options menu launch

Fish City Belfast has won the overall award at the Good Food Ireland awards in the K club.  Earlier this year Fish City Belfast launched its Healthy Options Menu at an event on with Christopher Elliott as key speaker.

Owners John and Grainne Lavery embraced sustainable sourcing and full traceability in their city centre restaurant. The menu published calorie and nutritional content for all dishes to promote transparency.

The launch brought partners together to showcase flavours and develop opportunities for fish promotion and local economy support. Guests from Seafish, NI Good Food, Tourism NI and the Food Standards Agency attended the event.

John Lavery shared “we at fish city have a strong ethos on sustainability, traceability and nutrition. We have a solid commitment to these beliefs which have won us numerous awards and accreditations nationally and internationally in our sustainable and environment practices, healthy eating, food quality and marketing.”
