The NFL’s first regular-season game in Dublin will take place in Croke Park in 2025, with the Pittsburgh Steelers as the home team.

With this fixture, Aer Lingus will inaugurate a four-year partnership with the Pittsburgh Steelers ahead of their regular-season NFL game in Ireland later this year.

As part of the partnership, Aer Lingus will become the presenting partner of Steelers Ireland 2025 and establish its status as the Official Airline Partner of the team.

The Irish Government plans to invest nearly €10 million for event orchestration that anticipates 30,000 visitors and a €64 million economic uplift.

The Steelers, awarded marketing rights in 2023, aim to deepen connections with their Irish fan base, following sold-out events in locations across Ireland.

The Steelers, founded in 1933, have won the Super Bowl six times and previously played an exhibition match in Dublin against the Chicago Bears in 1997, strengthening their historical ties to Ireland.

The Steelers will also collaborate with Aer Lingus on the Ireland Youth Football Development programme, fostering grassroots American football in Ireland.

The announcement was made in New Orleans, ahead of Sunday’s Super Bowl between the Kansas City Chiefs and the Philadelphia Eagles.
