Air Canada introduced a new feature on its mobile app that allows customers to track their baggage and mobility aids in real time.
Initially available for domestic flights, customers can track their checked items at key points throughout their journey, including check-in, airport handling, aircraft loading, connections, and arrival.
The app also includes enhanced accessibility protocols to track mobility aids, ensuring they are securely loaded before the aircraft departs.
In addition to the tracking feature, the Air Canada app offers various self-service capabilities, flight bookings, check-in, flight status notifications, airport maps, and the ability to file delayed baggage reports and arrange delivery. The airline plans to expand this feature to transborder flights to the US in the following year.
