Aleppo international airport closes again due to conflict

Aleppo International Airport has closed to all air traffic once more due to renewed fighting between government forces and the Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces. 

The Syrian General Authority of Civil Aviation scheduled reopening on 10 January at 0000 local time. Flights diverted to Damascus the only active commercial airport in Syria. Clashes caused displacement of thousands of civilians with damage to homes infrastructure and healthcare. Schools universities and government offices shut in affected areas.
