Alliance Aviation Services has confirmed a non-cash impairment charge of AUD130m (€78m) against its F70 and F100 fleet along with another AUD30m (€18m) for related inventory.

The carrier explained the adjustment follows the approaching end of the useful economic lives for the Fokker types, which will undergo progressive retirement. The airline currently operates twelve F70s and twenty-four F100s according to fleet data.

The impairment reflects ongoing fleet management decisions as the company prepares for future transitions in its regional operations based in Brisbane. No immediate impact on current services has been outlined in the disclosure.

Alliance Aviation Services shared in a written statement the move comes as the Fokker Aircraft types approach the end of their useful economic lives and will be progressively retired.
