American Airlines and Dallas Fort Worth International have announced plans for the new Terminal F, increasing capacity from 15 to 30 gates.
Construction work is ongoing, with an investment of around $4bn to accelerate the project, aiming for initial completion in 2027.
In 2024, Dallas Fort Worth ranked as the third busiest airport globally, processing nearly 70m passengers the previous year.
American Airlines operates a catering facility at the airport that prepares around 15,000 meals per day, measuring 20,000 sqm.
CEO Robert Isom shared, “DFW is American’s largest and most critical hub, and with this expanded plan for Terminal F, DFW has a clear path to become the largest airline hub in the world.”
