Boeing has experienced a smaller second-quarter loss as it increased jet production and deliveries following a challenging period. The production of the 737 MAX reached 38 units in May, with stable output maintained since then.

Boeing CEO Kelly Ortberg mentioned improved stability in operations while executing the Safety & Quality Plan. A total of 206 737 MAX jets were delivered in the first half of the year, crucial for the company’s revenue.

Despite improvements, Boeing continues to face supply chain disruptions and pressure from increased costs due to tariffs and operational challenges.

Kelly Ortberg shared, “As we continue to execute our Safety & Quality Plan, there’s more stability in our operations. We plan to seek FAA approval to increase to rate 42 when our key performance indicators (KPIs) show that we’re ready. We posted a net loss of $612m for the quarter to June. Our revenue for the quarter to June rose 35pc to $22.75bn. It has delivered 206 737 MAX jets during the first half of the year.
