
Chicago hotels filled 3.56m room nights from June to August 2025, a 4.3pc increase from 2024, surpassing the 2019 record.
Hotel revenue reached €885m, an all-time high, up 0.8pc from the previous summer. Leisure travellers occupied 2.5m rooms, an 11.2pc rise from 2024, driven by events like Lollapalooza and NIKE Tournament of Champions.
The four strongest weekends included 19 July (92,643 room nights) and 30 August (91,559 room nights), fueled by major events. Chicago’s tourism sector supports 130,000 jobs and generated €19.2bn in economic impact in 2024.
