
Cork Airport processed 378,353 passengers in July 2025, up 15.5pc on 2024. and 27.4pc on pre-pandemic. The n umber of flights for the month was 2,399.
Top five destinations were Heathrow, Stansted, Faro, Malaga and Palma de Mallorca.
Passenger traffic in July increased by 15% compared to July 2024, maintaining Cork as Ireland’s fastest-growing airport. Planning permission was granted for 670 additional long-term parking spaces to accommodate growing passenger demand.
The first phase of a €200mcapital development plan is set to begin soon, further enhancing airport facilities.
A solar farm is set to be built to supply up to 25pc of the airport’s electricity needs, reflecting a commitment to sustainability.
Kenny Jacobs shared, “Cork was once again Ireland’s fastest-growing airport in July, with passenger traffic up 15pc compared with July 2024. While there’s lots of good work being done to improve public transport connectivity at Cork Airport, the need for additional parking has become apparent to all. It’s a clear example of how a local authority can support its airport as a strategic asset—not just in terms of sustainability, but by enabling the conditions for jobs, investment, and long-term regional growth.”
