EirTrade aviation partners with RESIDCO for A320neo teardown

EirTrade Aviation has confirmed the acquisition of two A320neo aircraft previously operated by Spirit Airlines in partnership with Chicago-based RESIDCO. 

The aircraft MSN 10769 and MSN 10921 aged four and 3.5 years respectively become the youngest Airbus A320neo airframes ever torn down. Disassembly takes place in Goodyear Arizona with parts transferred to EirTrade’s Dallas hub to support AOG requests across the Americas.

Bill Thompson Vice President Origination and Trading for the Americas at EirTrade emphasised focus on newer vintage aircraft for highest quality rotables and latest modification standards. The transaction includes four sets of in-demand LRU and BFE components from the PW1100 engine type. The A320neo platform dominates with over 4,400 in service and 7,200 on order alongside 6,500 CEO aircraft with interchangeable components.

Dave Kolber Director of Aviation Marketing at RESIDCO highlighted the long-standing collaboration and shared execution of high-value aviation asset solutions. The partnership bolsters EirTrade’s global inventory and supports owners operators and maintenance providers. The deal marks another first in the aviation industry for both companies.

Bill Thompson shared “We are focused on newer vintage aircraft to ensure that our inventory contains the highest quality rotables which ensure that our customers can be supported with the latest modification standard components. We have also acquired four sets of in-demand LRU and BFE components from the PW1100 engine type within this significant transaction. Given the size of the fleet and Airbus orderbook, this platform will remain the largest segment of the global commercial fleet with demand for USM increasing accordingly.”
