Féile na Tána branches out beyond Cooley Peninsula

Féile na Tána expanded beyond the Cooley peninsula into rural south Armagh for its twelfth year. The festival celebrated Ulster myth legend and history linked to Táin Bó Cúailnge. 

Events took place across the Oriel region with world-class concerts workshops and exhibitions. The programme began on 25 January with Liam Ó Maonlaí Vincent Woods and Cruit Éireann Harp Ireland All-Island Ensemble at 6pm. Highlights included a Bill Whelan commission for four Irish harps on 30 January at Carlingford Heritage Centre.

Féile na Tána shared in a written statement “From little acorns great oaks grow. Féile na Tána which started as a modest weekend of workshops and concerts in the Cooley peninsula has grown to become a highly recorded festival that delivers over a week of world class events taking place the Oriel region.”
