The French ATC strikes have been extended for a fourth day, affecting travel during a peak weekend.

Ryanair criticised the decision of a small number of French ATC staff to extend strikes without notice, impacting thousands of passengers.

The airline advocates for reforms to ensure ATC services are adequately staffed and suggest protecting overflights during strikes to mitigate delays.

Ryanair renewed its call for EU President Ursula von der Leyen to resign if she does not pursue reforms for EU ATC services.

French Air Traffic Controllers engaged in strikes that caused mass cancellations, disrupting over 70,000 passengers this week.

A wri9tten statement from Ryanair shared:  “Ryanair calls on Ursula von der Leyen to take urgent action to reform EU ATC services. It is completely unacceptable that two or three French Air Traffic Controllers can simply decide to extend these recreational French ATC strikes.”
