aer-lingus-airbus-a330-copyAer Lingus EI137@11:50 to Boston has been cancelled as a knock on effect from an incident involving an Aer Lingus aircraft in Orlando airport yesterday. Inbound EI120@09:00 from Orlando was also cancelled.

The 193 passengers were accommodated in the Marriott hotel.

The airline confirmed a piece of ground service equipment went on fire while attending to an Aer Lingus aircraft at Orlando Airport yesterday evening, 6th October 2016. There were no reports of injuries to airline crew or passengers. We are investigating reports of an injury to a ground handling company staff member. Aer Lingus flight EI 120 Orlando to Dublin on 6th October was cancelled as a result of the incident and all guests on yesterday’s flight were provided with hotel accommodation. We continue to monitor the situation at Orlando Airport and are working to minimise any further travel disruption to our guests.  Aer Lingus regrets to confirm that today’s flight EI137 from Dublin to Boston has been cancelled due to operational reasons. Aer Lingus guests who have a booking on the cancelled flight are asked to visit aerlingus.com where they can change for free to another date of travel or request a full refund. We sincerely apologise to our guests for the inconvenience caused by this schedule disruption. .
