Galway City Council has announced a series of consultation events set to occur in early February for a project aimed at improving the Salthill area.

The project, supported by Urban Design firm Allies and Morrison, will focus on gathering local input to shape the future of Salthill Village and Seafront throughout 2025.

Key engagement events will take place from February 6 to February 22, including meetings with local business and swimming communities, as well as a public drop-in session at Salthill Hotel.

Leonard Cleary, Chief Executive of Galway City Council shared “It is an objective of the Galway City Development Plan 2023-2029 to prepare a plan to guide the long-term development and enhancement of Salthill village and the seafront. I am excited to commence this project, which will consider future investment and funding opportunities for Salthill and will facilitate an integrated approach to the many planned and future projects and initiatives. Engagement is at the heart of this process, and I encourage everyone to take the opportunity to get involved and have their say.”
