Start your tour at Plaza del Marqués in front of the Revillagigedo Palace where the port and sculptures mark the entrance to the historic area. Visitors have walked the streets of Cimadevilla for centuries and the district has kept its old fishermen houses and narrow lanes that lead up the hill.
The route proceeds into the old quarter of Cimadevilla where the Church of San Pedro stands and the remains of Roman baths lie nearby and continues along paths that offer views of the Cantabrian Sea before they reach the promenade known as the Muro de San Lorenzo that runs beside San Lorenzo Beach. The path then leads towards Plaza Mayor with its arcades and Town Hall building that sits at the edge of the old town.
The short circuit covers around 2 kilometres and returns walkers towards the starting points or transport links after they pass through the compact historic centre. This path links the port with the hilltop quarter and measures around 2 kilometres.
