The 2026 Global Youth Travel Awards have recognised organisations advancing sustainability, artificial intelligence, community engagement and experiential education in the youth and student travel sector. The winners were revealed at the World Youth and Student Travel Conference in Bilbao. Malaysian operator Fuze Ecoteer took the Best Responsible Tourism Initiative award for its Plastic Bags to Roads project which combines recycling with local employment. The awards reflect growing priorities among younger travellers.
The 2026 Global Youth Travel Awards (GYTAs) winners were revealed by the WYSE Travel Confederation on 17 September 2026 at the closing ceremony of the World Youth and Student Travel Conference (WYSTC) in Bilbao, Spain. Fuze Ecoteer (Malaysia) won Best Responsible Tourism Initiative for their Plastic Bags to Roads initiative, which connects community recycling, circular economy efforts and local engagement.
Hanover CRM won Best Use of AI for their Hanover Discovery platform feature, which allows student exchange programs to be discoverable and citable by AI assistants. Volunteering Solutions won Best Work Experience Provider for international internship and volunteer coordination across multiple global projects. Global Leadership Adventures won Extraordinary Experience for impactful service-learning and student travel journeys.
