The Government has asked for a revised business case for Waterford Airport’s €12m grant application. The proposed re-opening of the airport to commercial flights has been delayed for nearly two years.

Talks are underway between the board of management and Waterford City and Council regarding funding.

Board Director William Bolster shared: “patience is wearing thin in Waterford with the Government now requiring a revised business case to re-open the city’s airport to commercial flights.”
