Hilton has been executing a comprehensive expansion strategy across the island of Ireland, with the hospitality group creating more than 150 new positions and bringing its total workforce Ireland to nearly 1,000 employees. The global chain is scaling its Irish footprint through multiple new signings, property conversions and high-profile brand debuts across both jurisdictions.

The conversion of the 156-room Pillo Hotel in Ashbourne, County Meath, to a DoubleTree by Hilton property represents a central component of this growth phase, with the refurbished hotel scheduled to open in early 2027. Hilton has also introduced its extended-stay Home2 Suites brand to Europe for the first time through a 290-suite Dublin city centre property on Marlborough Street, while a 103-room Tapestry Collection hotel is under development on South Terrace in Cork city centre for an autumn 2027 opening. The company is further expanding its presence through the Tempo by Hilton Belfast City Centre, a 144-room wellness-focused lifestyle property that marks the first Tempo location outside the United States, alongside recent additions including The Marcus Portrush, Tapestry Collection by Hilton, DoubleTree by Hilton Belfast City Ten Square and DoubleTree by Hilton Derry:
