Holland America Line is asking passengers to submit name suggestions an orphaned moose calf on Holland America Line’s official Facebook and Instagram pages by June 23, 2024.
The top ten name suggestions will be selected by Holland America Line and AWCC, and fans can vote for their favourite on social media, raising funds for the Alaska Wildlife Conservation Centre.
The winning name will be announced in early July, and Holland America Line is also offering guests the chance to have up-close encounters with moose at the AWCC facility.
Holland America say on their website: When you book a shore excursion with a stop at AWCC, you can enjoy a moose encounter with residents, Pip and Jo. Through this wild meet and greet, moose eat right out of your hands while the team shares information about their diet, behavior and wild counterparts.
