The Iberia Group will operate up to three daily flights between Madrid and Menorca from November, increasing seat capacity by 27pc under a new Public Service Obligation contract. The winter schedule runs from November to March, with two flights operating at fixed times daily and a third flight varying its times based on the day. The decision follows a new contract from the Ministry of Transport to protect vital flight routes for local communities.
The new schedule strengthens domestic connectivity to the Balearic island for the winter season and supports tourism demand outside the peak summer months. Passengers can connect to over 100 international destinations via Adolfo Suárez Madrid-Barajas Airport. The fixed daily flights from Madrid depart at 11:35 AM and 8:15 PM, with return flights from Menorca departing at 7:00 AM and 1:45 PM.
Tickets for the winter flights are already available on the official Iberia website. The increased frequency provides more options for travellers visiting Menorca during the winter period. The PSO system ensures the island maintains air connectivity for residents and businesses throughout the year.
