The Institute for Culture Travel has organised a three-night Salzburg Christmas trip departing 30 November 2026 with RTÉ lyric fm presenter Marty Whelan. The package has included return flights from Dublin to Munich with Aer Lingus, accommodation at the four-star Imlauer Hotel Pitter Salzburg with breakfast, and a programme of cultural and musical experiences. The trip has been priced at €1969 per person sharing.

The itinerary has featured a visit to the Silent Night Chapel in Oberndorf, where the carol was first performed on Christmas Eve in 1818. A Mozart Dinner & Concert has been scheduled at St. Peter Stiftskulinarium, while a Sound of Music Tour has taken guests through Salzburg’s countryside including Mirabell Gardens, Schloss Leopoldskron and Mondsee. The visit has coincided with the 25th anniversary of Hellbrunn Advent Magic Christmas Market.

Marty Whelan has joined guests for a lunch event during the trip.
