
The Irish Coast Guard’s new Search and Rescue operations have commenced from Weston Airport marking the conclusion of 27 years of helicopter services from Dublin Airport.
A Bristow transition team has initiated operations at Weston with regular training. The final flight crew at Dublin Airport included Capt. Garrett Collins and Winch Operator Alan Gallagher.
Minister of State Sean Canney shared: “First, I would like to express my sincere gratitude to CHC including their flight crews and support teams, for the exceptional service they’ve provided from Dublin Airport. The Weston base will provide Bristow Ireland with excellent facilities to enable them deliver safe and effective Coast Guard services and I wish the team every success in their new home.”
