
Jetblue is to become Amazon’s first airline partner for Project Kuiper, which to deliver faster internet connectivity.
JetBlue plans to install this technology in selected aircraft starting in 2027, improving its Fly-Fi onboard wifi. The initiative includes the deployment of over 3,200 satellites in low Earth orbit to rival SpaceX’s Starlink.
JetBlue has offered free inflight wifi since 2013, and this new technology promises faster speeds. The airline is also evaluating a potential multi-orbit solution for improved connectivity capabilities.
JetBlue shared, “even faster and more reliable connectivity” will be brought to its Fly-Fi service. While aircraft outfitted with Project Kuiper will rely on the new low Earth orbit system.”
