
Jet2 has described the forecast for fiscal year 2026 as premature due to later bookings and global uncertainty affecting visibility. It says that the travel sector faces challenges from geopolitical disruptions and inflation, compounded by a heatwave in Europe.
The lead in time for bookings has reduced, and the company’s summer seat capacity has been revised down to approximately 18.5 million. Oongoing geopolitical risks could impact consumer sentiment during summer, a crucial time for bookings.
Jet2 reported an 11pc increase in annual profit to £577.7m and raised its dividend by 12pc to 16.5 pence per share.
Jet2 flies eight year around, 17 summer and two winter routes from Belfast International, with Vienna to begin on 28 November.
