Ulick McEvaddy’s DA Terminal 3 Ltd has applied for planning permission for a new cargo development at Dublin Airport’s western campus, projected to create nearly 450 jobs when operational.

The plans include four cargo handling units to operate 24/7 on a 30-acre site, alongside ancillary office space.

During the two-year construction period, the project aims to create 160 jobs, with 313 warehousing jobs and 130 office roles upon completion.

The proposal is part of a larger vision for the overall development of Terminal 3 and the western campus, contingent on government agreement regarding the necessity of a third terminal.

The CWPA Planning & Architecture report indicates a current deficit in cargo handling capacity, highlighting the urgency of this development in light of upcoming changes at the existing airport infrastructure.
