Manchester Airport has opened six new shops and food outlets in the redeveloped T2 departure lounge. Retail outlets include the first-ever LEGO store, a Rituals cosmetics shop, and a Pandora jewellery store at the airport.
The recent openings are part of a £1.3 billion transformation project started in 2015, which also includes terminal refurbishments and new check-in desks. New food options include Starbucks, Upper Crust, and Joe & The Juice, with further additions expected this year, such as a CHANEL store and a Fever Tree bar.
The transformation plans feature design elements reminiscent of past eras, including Venetian chandeliers from the 1980s and 1990s.
Chris Woodroofe shared, “We’re proud to connect the people of the North with the world, and these new facilities will allow them to travel in the style befitting a major international hub, while also creating a striking first impression for visitors to our region.”
