Norwegian Cruise Line has reworked its 2027 itineraries to bring an additional 200,000 guests to Great Stirrup Cay. The island expects about 1.4m guests in 2027 compared with an earlier projection of 1.2m. The change follows itinerary planning for 2027 and 2028.
Great Tides Water Park opened on 4 September 2026 alongside a new two-berth pier. About 90pc of surveyed guests who visited Great Tides said they would recommend it. The water park received the highest ratings of any experience on the island. About 100 social media creators attended the opening and generated more than 275m views.
NCLH CEO John Chidsey noted the pier makes access easier and more reliable. CFO Mark Kempa noted the company expects onboard revenue improvement and later higher ticket pricing on sailings that call at the island. The island features in the brand’s new marketing positioning.
