The deal gives Aer Lingus access to Datalex’s cloud-based platform products and help improve self-service options on the airline’s website and mobile apps.

Dave O’Donovan, Chief Digital and Information Officer & Head of Business Transformation at Aer Lingus, said “these improvements will ensure scalability, reliability, and the phased replacement of legacy technology with future-proof solutions. This transition will lay the foundation for a fully connected customer experience, focusing on Offers & Orders, reducing reliance on legacy technology, and prioritising new scalable products.”

Datalex CEO Sean Corkery described the partnership renewal as a significant milestone in their collaboration and digital transformation plan that aims to future-proof one of Datalex’s longest-standing airline customers.

The partnership between Datalex and Aer Lingus has been extended for another five years, aligning with the recently renewed long-term partnerships Datalex has established with other airlines such as Air China, Air Transat, JetBlue, and Edelweiss in 2023. The two companies originally signed a commerce agreement in 2018.
