Ibiza has launched the Ibiza Revealed initiative to showcase the island’s culture and heritage beyond its party image. The programme links 98 historic and cultural sites through four themed itineraries covering coastal defences, rural traditions, social culture and archaeology. Local leaders want visitors to engage more deeply with the island’s history.
Visit Sant Antoni launched a campaign at World Travel Market in London celebrating local patron saint festivities, traditional dances, food markets, rural farm stays and historic street art. The Ibiza Town Council through the Madina Yabisa Interpretation Centre has expanded guided heritage itineraries and nighttime walking tours across the medieval fortress walls of Dalt Vila, a UNESCO World Heritage site.
Heritage Nights 2026 expanded to a multi-night event in September, with open-air museums, local theatre, historical exhibitions and contemporary dance premieres. The island’s broader strategy emphasises local traditions, salt flats at Ses Salines, rural villages like Santa Gertrudis and San Juan and eco-conscious cultural preservation.
